CFOTD

Privacy Notice

Here we explain the information CFOTD handles and the choices you have. Page revised Oct. 31, 2026.

What we keep

A message sent through our form sends us your words plus a name and email.

Posts and scores you share on CFOTD are kept on our server and are visible while published; we check posts before they go live.

Should you sign up for email, we keep your email to send what you requested; you can leave at any time.

If you submit a fansite, sign up for birthday alerts or contact us, we store what you type in the form so we can reply or send the alerts you asked for. Votes and fan buttons are counted with a one-way scrambled code, not your IP address.

Guess Who and Older or younger keep your scores and streaks in your own browser. We do not see them.

Every time a page loads, our server logs technical facts like IP address and page, in case something breaks.

We record simple tallies on how often links are followed, and nothing personal.

Saved on your side

Forms that remember things save what you entered in your own browser, and clearing your browser data removes that.

Do you use cookies?

An ordinary visit involves no sign-in, and our pages work without cookies from us.

Where we use Google Analytics or a similar tool, or ads, those tools can use cookies; your browser lets you block them.

Selling and sharing

We do not trade or sell reader information, and never have. Beyond our hosting and email providers, your details are not handed on unless legally required.

Birthday alerts are sent only to people who ask for them. We never sell or share your address.

Seeing or deleting your data

For deletion or correction, just ask at fans@cfotd.com and we will reply.

Anything else

This is not a site for children under 13, and a parent who finds a child's details here can have them erased.

If we update this page, the revised version replaces this one with the date updated.
